It is a well-known fact that Cricket is worshipped in India and the players are stars in the eyes of their fans. The incident on Day 2 was an instance of the same. While on Day 2, Virat Kohli was fielding in the slips, three fans breach security and raced on the ground to click a picture with Virat Kohli. The fans were chased by the guards, however, one of the fans was able to click a selfie with the star cricketer.
Virat Kohli has got a crazy fan base all over the world and fans have tried to take a selfie with him on the ground multiple times. There have been incidents in the past as well where fans breached security to click a picture with their favourite cricketer. When the breach happened, Kohli was a bit surprised but allowed the fan to take the selfie, signaling at the same time to stay a bit away due to the bio-bubble protocols.

After picking up 6 Sri Lankan wickets on Day 1, Indian bowlers didn’t take too much time in wrapping up the Sri Lankan tail on Day 2. Taking a 143 runs lead in the first inning, the batsmen piled up more runs in the second inning, especially Pant who went berserk and scored the fastest fifty by an Indian batsman in just 28 balls. Shreyas Iyer was calm and composed as always and notched up his half-century. By the end of Day 2, team India has gained total control of the game and it’s only a matter of time before they clinch the series.
