The TV Presenter mistakenly pronounced Indian captain Harmanpreet’s name Jemimah Rodrigues. He was then trolled a lot on social media as he made a schoolboy blunder. The Bangladeshi broadcaster made everyone embarrassed in the field as he made an absolute mockery of himself by pronouncing the winning captain’s name wrong. After India comfortably defeated Bangladesh by 108 runs Harmanpreet was asked to say a few words about her team’s victory.

The post-match chat between the broadcaster and the Indian team captain ended abruptly as the anchor called Harmanpreet’s Jemimah. After the whole chat was about to end the interviewer said “Thank You Jemimah, and congratulations”
In the reply, the Indian captain said “Harmanpreet Kaur, Thank you” and left with a decent smile on her face.

However, the Indian captain take it very gracefully and replied with ‘Harmanpreet Kaur’ in a taunting way and went away. Harmanpreet Kaur left the anchor embarrassed with her mic-drop reply which made the interviewer totally silent in shame.
Netizens bash the Bangladeshi broadcasters after the 2nd ODI post-match blunder
The video of Harmanpreet correcting the interviewer is getting viral on the internet and the fans are taking a dig at him. The thing which is surprising the viewers is that the anchor is not aware of the name of visiting team captain.
However, it’s not the first time when a Bangladeshi presenter has made everyone question their designation. In the BPL 2023 when Sylhet Strikers won the final Andre Russell and Moeen Ali were asked a few questions which they failed to understand as the prester was speaking very poor English.
India Women level the series with a thumping victory
After sustaining a disappointing defeat in the first ODI of the series the India women’s bounced back and pull off a commanding performance. Jemimah Rodrigues was the architect of the match as she first86 off 78 with the bat and later picked up 4 wickets and gave just 3 runs.

Captain Harmanpreet also heaped praise on her in the post-match interview. Harmanpreet said “It was a great opportunity for us to bat first and set up a decent total on the board. We spoke about one of the batters batting till the end, when Jemi (Jemimah) came in we played according to the ball and focus was on rotating the strike”
