The seventh edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has started from September 4, 2019. The domestic T20 League of the Caribbean Region is being played in six countries: Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica and Saint Lucia. Meanwhile, during the ninth match of the ongoing season Jamaican all-rounder Andre Russell has got inured with a nasty bouncer on the head.
This all happened in the 14th over of the Jamaica Tallawahs batting. When the star player Andre Russell missed playing a pull shot on bouncer from Viljoen. The Injury was that much serious that 31-year-old all-rounder immediately fell on the ground. And hence Russell had to leave the ground with the help of a stretcher. When the Jamaican all-rounder got a nasty bouncer on the head, he was yet to get off the mark. After that Russell has immediately taken for a CT scan and the reports came normal. However, the doctor has advised him to not take part in the rest of the Tournament.
