During an extravagant 2nd Ashes Test at the Lords, Johnny Bairstow was given a runout in a very contentious way. While England were battling out in the chase of 370 runs in the 4th innings there was a moment when they lost one of their batsmen out cheaply. Lord’s crowd boos the Australia team after Carey pulls off a cheeky runout.
The English team has been at the receiving end of another dramatic dismissal which we don’t see very often in cricket. The Australia wicketkeeper threw the ball immediately after Johnny Bairstow ducked Cameron Green’s bumper.
Johnny Bairstow got runout in a very unusual fashion
The English wicketkeeper batter was facing the last delivery of the Cameron Green over which he comfortably ducked. As the ball reached the Australian keeper Alex Carey he immediately sensed Bairstow is leaving the crease too early and threw the ball to the stumps.
Luckily the ball struck the stumps and Australian players appealed confidently as by the rules it was out. The on-field umpire referred the decision to the third umpire who signaled out straight away.

Broad didn’t stop just here as he kept mocking the Aussie keeper after facing every delivery and kept asking “Can I leave the crease now?”
The funny banter by Broad was loved and appreciated by the English crowd as every time he did that he was getting loud cheers from the crowd.

The England captain Ben Stokes showed once again his competitive attitude and determination to fight till the end in the second Ashes Test. The 34-year-old almost took England to another historic victory but his gutsy effort came to a halt by Hazelwood’s disciplined bowling.
