The heart-warming gesture by the LSG wicket-keeper came in the 13th over of the first inning when Sandeep Sharma was bowling to Quinton de Kock. De kock was set and was nearing his fifty when he tried to cut the fourth delivery of the 13th over. It was a slower ball by Sharma which took the edge of the bat and went into the gloves of the wicket-keeper. The umpire did not give him out, however, the batsman walked off as he knew he had knicked the ball.
