Team India took on New Zealand in the first T20 of the 3-match T20I series at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi after clinching the ODI series by 3-0.
Team India’s veteran captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was present in the stadium to support the Men in Blue and the Ranchi crowd went elated after seeing him on the big screen.
MS Dhoni graced his presence in IND vs NZ T20I at Ranchi
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is arguably the greatest captain ever in the history of Indian cricket and the kind of loyal fan following he has is second to none. MS Dhoni hails from Ranchi and is also referred to as ‘Ranchi Ka Rajkumar’.
Dhoni never misses out an opportunity to support the Men in Blue whenever he gets a chance and did the same as the Indian team faced New Zealand in the first T20I at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni along with his wife Sakshi Dhoni, came in to support the Indian Team and appeared on the big screen. Just as the spectators in the JSCA stadium watched him on the big screen, they erupted with the chants of ‘Dhoni Dhoni’.
The cameraman made sure that Mahi fans get enough time to see their beloved cricketer and zoomed in the camera to bring MS Dhoni in complete focus. The fans too reciprocated well as the chants of ‘Dhoni Dhoni’ kept on growing further with time.

The legendary captain realised that he was shown on the big screen and he graciously accepted the love shown by the spectators in Ranchi. MS Dhoni smiled at the camera and waved at his fans. The video clip showing Mahendra Singh Dhoni along with his wife Sakshi Dhoni in the stadium has now gone viral across social media platforms.
New Zealand batters did a pretty good job to put on a competitive total of 176-6 on the Ranchi pitch which had some turn and grip for the spinners. India’s spin duo of Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav shared three wickets between them while part-time spinner Deepak Hooda too chipped in with a couple of economical overs.
