After South Africa defeated Bangladesh in their last group stage game to reach the semi-finals a funny incident occurred in the press conference. South African women have qualified for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. They defeated Bangladesh women by 10 wickets and booked the ticket to the semis with England.
First, they restricted Bangladesh to a score of 113 runs only captain Nigar Sultana managed to reach 30 runs mark.
Then in the chase, both the openers were enough to do the light work. Laura Wolvaardt was the aggressor in the match-winning partnership with Tazmin Brits. The duo finished off the match in 17.5 overs of the innings. Laura Wolvaardt scored an unbeaten 66 off 56 and her fellow partner scored 50 off 51.
After the match-winning performance, Laura was invited to have a press session. She was asked several questions about their preparation for the big semi-final game coming up against England. At the same time, one of the reporters asked a question related to the semi-finals but Laura wasn’t able to spot him.

In the post-match press conference, the star batter Laura Wolvaardt was asked about Englad’s batting strength. Laura took some time to figure out where the voice is coming from. She even asked fellow reporters where is he.
Then the reporter asked Laura whether she is able to listen to him or not. Laura replied yes but I don’t know where you are. Everyone in the room burst out laughing when they got to know that the journalist was sitting at his home and was on a Zoom call.
