South Africa’s David Miller took an outstanding one-hand catch to dismiss Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan in the second T20I at Mohali on Wednesday. India was chasing 150 in the second innings after South Africa posted 149 for five in their first innings.
Although, India lost power hitter Rohit Sharma for 12 in the fourth over after being trapped for lbw off Andile Phehlukwayo’s bowling. Dhawan alongside skipper Kohli kept the scoreboard moving. The Delhi boys paired to put a 61 runs partnership for the second-wicket.
South Africa’s chinaman bowler Tabraiz Shamsi bowled a flat delivery at the stumps and the southpaw came down to slog at long-on to find a boundary. But David Miller who ran a couple of steps and dived to his right controlling the ball in his right hand to end Dhawan’s innings.

Kohli went on to score his 22nd T20I half-century after he smashed Phehlukawayo for a boundary towards extra cover. Rishabh Pant once again failed to make an impression on his selection and once again got out for a single-digit score (4). Shreyas Iyer remained not out on 16 with Man of the Match Virat Kohli making his score to 72* as India won the game by seven wickets and take on a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20 series.
India will play South Africa at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Sunday, September 22 to try for a series victory.
