Talking about the match, Virat Kohli scored 36 runs off 86 balls on the second day of the Boxing Day Test. He shared a 102-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal, but both were dismissed in quick succession during the final overs of the day. Following this, nightwatchman Akshdeep was also dismissed for a duck after facing 13 balls.

By the end of the second day, India was at 164 for 5, trailing Australia by 310 runs. On the third day, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja will resume India’s innings.
