India failed to chase the target of 270 runs in the series decider against Australia. The men in blue were looking in a very firm position while Hardik and Virat were batting in the middle. After the dismissal of Virat Kohli the Indian batting order collapsed miserably.
India failed to deal with Adam Zampa’s mystery at the Chepauk
The Australian leg spinner Adam Zampa run through the Indian side with his excellent spell. Zampa removed well-settled KL Rahul, Shubhman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hardik Panya in crucial phases of the game.
Ashton Agar accompanied him superbly with the figures of 41/2 in his 10 overs. Agar got Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav in back-to-back two deliveries which opened the gate for the Aussies.
Jadeja and Hardik did form a handy partnership but they hang on for a bit long which cost India the game.
Virat Kohli gives a death stare to Marcus Stoinis after the latter comes in between his way
The former Indian captain is known for his aggressive behavior on the cricket field. Virat has never held himself back from engaging in any argument.
During the 2nd innings of the 3rd ODI, he did the same when Stoinis came in between his way while taking a single. Virat wasn’t looking in a great mood when the incident happened as he was fuming with anger.

The two players pushed each other but luckily they were good after the incident. Stoinis chuckled just after the shoulder-to-shoulder push although Virat Kohli was still angry.
Australia won the ODI series 2-1
Under the excellent leadership of Steven Smith Australian team excelled once again. Smith’s excellent field placement helped the Aussies get past dangerous Hardik Pandya in the deciding phase of the 3rd ODI.

The last time when Australia won the ODI series in India was back in 2019 when Smith and Warner were not in the Australian lineup.
The five-time world champions are looking in red hot form for the upcoming World Cup taking place in India only. On the other hand, India needs to work a bit more on their top order which is not contributing as it used to.
