WATCH: Wahab Riaz’s breathtaking Yorker in Mzansi Super League

During the 22nd match of the ongoing Mzansi Super League between Cape Town Blitz and Tshwane Spartans in cape town, Wahab Riaz bowled breathtaking yorker to Spartans’ all-rounder Roelof van der Merwe. 

It all happened in the fourth ball of the ninth over of Tshwane Spartans innings. Meanwhile, they were need of another 23 runs off just 9 balls to win the match. It was one of the best ever yorker had in cricket history. However, Riaz overstepping on the same delivery meant that he had to re-bowl the delivery.

Now the visitors needed 22 runs off 9 balls, and a free-hit could have changed the course of the match. However, Wahab Riaz handles the pressure nicely and made sure that van der Merwe doesn’t dictate terms on the free-hit.

Short Summary of the Match

Earlier in the match, Cape Town Blitz won the toss and opted to bat first at Newlands, Cape Town. Meanwhile, during the first innings Hosts scored 157-5 at the end of 20 overs and give a target of 158, thanks to David Bedingham’s 53 runs knock. In the reply, Tshwane Spartans could manage to score only 142-7 at the end of the 20 overs. From Tshwane Spartans, only Petrus van Biljon could manage to score well as he scored 62 runs off just 42 balls. But he could make his team to win the match and lost the match 15 runs.
