The incident occurred after the 13th over when Tino Best, after completing his over, tried to leave the field due to injury concerns. However, Yuvraj Singh objected to it and raised the matter with umpire Billy Bowden, who then called Tino Best back. This led to a heated exchange between the two.
Best was visibly frustrated, and tempers flared as both players engaged in a verbal spat. The umpires and West Indies Masters captain Brian Lara had to intervene to diffuse the situation, but Yuvraj and Best continued to exchange words.
Commentator Darren Gough summed up the moment, saying, “He (Tino Best) is someone who doesn’t back down. He is someone who likes to have a chat. Two players who don’t back down. That’s when you get an issue.”

Tino Best couldn’t deliver his best in the final as he gave away 34 runs in three overs and was the most expensive West Indies bowler on the day. After his heated exchange with Yuvraj Singh he did not get to bowl his final over as India Masters chased down the target in just 17.1 overs.
Ambati Rayudu played a brilliant knock of 74 runs and was named Man of the Match for his performance. With this win Sachin Tendulkar and his team lifted the inaugural IML T20 title. Throughout the tournament, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar entertained the crowd with cameo knocks filled with elegant shots.
Even in the final, Sachin played a short innings of 25 runs, but his signature upper cut had fans on their feet. The tournament was filled with nostalgia, and fans will be eagerly waiting for the next season.
