The IPL 2023 is just a few hours away from its kick-off at the Narendra Modi Stadium. A day before the kick-off a mandatory captains photoshoot was held in which all the captains were present except Rohit Sharma. After looking at the pictures of the photoshoot fans were left wondering What Happened to Rohit Sharma?
Like every other season of IPL, a captain’s photo shoot was scheduled at the venue of the opening game. In the photoshoot, all captains of the participating franchise strike pose with the IPL trophy.
In the photo shoot of this year’s IPL, every other captain was present except MI’s captain Rohit Sharma.
Fans left wondering What Happened to Rohit Sharma?
The five-time champion Mumbai Indians’ representative Rohit Sharma was not present in the photo shoot on Thursday.
According to the sources, the MI captain didn’t travel to Ahmedabad where the captain’s meeting was held. Rohit Sharma is having a fever which made him cancel the flight to Ahmedabad. Although the player didn’t attend the photo shoot he is expected to be fit for MI’s opening game on 2nd April.
Mumbai Indians will play Royal Challengers Bangalore away from home in their opening game.

Despite the presence of all 9 skippers, the spotlight was on the absent Rohit Sharma. However, MI confirmed that Rohit is having mild fever which is why he is not posing in the same frame as all other captains.
Fans didn’t hold themselves back from making memes out of the incident.
