After a win against Delhi Capitals on the 11th of April at the Arun Jaitely Stadium MI is fuming with confidence. MI won that game with 6 wickets remaining and the architect of the victory was none other than their captain Rohit Sharma.
The MI captain made 65 off 45 deliveries consisting of 4 sixes and 6 fours.
Why Rohit Sharma is not playing today?
The MI captain Rohit Sharma was reported to have a stomach bug in the morning today. Although the problem was not that serious as it was an afternoon game so the player decided to sit out.
During the toss time, Suryamkumar Yadav came to flip the coin in place of Rohit Sharma. Fortunately, he even won the toss and opted to field first against the knights.
Rohit Sharma came out as an impact sub in the second innings
The MI skipper surprised everyone with his introduction during the second innings. He replaced fast bowler Rilley Meridith in the playing 11 and opened the innings with Ishan Kishan.
He reported to the team management that he is feeling well to go on and bat in the second innings. His problem of stomach bug was cured during the first innings while MI was fielding.

The impact player Rohit Sharma gave a great start to MI’s chase along with Ishan Kishan. He scored 20 off just 13 balls before getting out on Suyash Sharma’s delivery.

Despite Rohit’s dismissal, MI is in firm control of the chase. They are marching towards their 2nd victory of the season as Ishan Kishan played a masterful inning of 65 runs in just 25 balls.
MI’s standing skipper Suryakumar Yadav who is struggling with form lately is also having a great chance to have his form back.
