Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was one of the few bright spots of the Rajasthan Royals, has sparked fresh rumours about a possible separation from the franchise. Earlier, the inaugural IPL champions were knocked out of the playoff race in the IPL 2025 season and ended the season on a disappointing note.
Meanwhile, the youngster posted a cryptic message on Instagram that got everyone talking. His post on the micro-blogging portal spread like wildfire. He began with a thank-you note to the club before expressing disappointment about how things panned out for them.
Yashasvi Jaiswal posts a cryptic message after Rajasthan Royals’ disappointing campaign
“Thank you, Rajasthan Royals, for everything. Not the season we hoped for, but continue to be grateful for our journey together. On to the next challenge 🇮🇳 and whatever the future brings. YBJ 64,” he wrote. The post came shortly after the Royals ended their season on a disappointing note.

They finished 9th on the group stage points table as they collected 8 points. The Royals managed only 4 wins and conceded as many as 10 defeats in what was one of their worst IPL campaigns.
While the team struggled, Jaiswal stood out with his brilliant performances. After a slow start with just one fifty-plus score in the first five games, he bounced back in style. He ended the season as the Royals’ leading run-scorer and also ranked fourth overall in the tournament. Jaiswal mustered 559 runs in 14 games at an average of 43 and a superb strike rate of 159.71.
He hit as many as six half-centuries, which is ahead of big names like Sai Sudharsan (5), Jos Buttler (5), Nicholas Pooran (4), Shreyas Iyer (4), and Suryakumar Yadav (4). But all has not been smooth behind the scenes. Rajasthan’s campaign felt a bit chaotic. Captain Sanju Samson missed more than half the season, and Riyan Parag took over as acting skipper. The team never really found consistent form in the season before they fell off the track.

The club’s player auction choices also raised several eyebrows. It seemed like different parts of the team were heading in different directions. Amid this, reports of Jaiswal shifting his domestic base from Mumbai to Goa only added fuel to the fire. Some fans and experts now believe that a trade or a move away from the Royals could be on the cards.
However, with Rahul Dravid now involved in the Royals’ setup, there is still hope that the core of the team, such as Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Riyan Parag, can be kept intact. It remains to be seen what the future holds in store for Jaiswal.
