Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Tardiness Frustrates Rohit Sharma; Team Bus Leaves Adelaide Hotel Without Jaiswal

On Wednesday, the Indian team departed from Adelaide to Brisbane. However, an incident occurred in the morning that caused a delay for the team, and the reason for this delay was Yashasvi Jaiswal. The Indian team was scheduled to leave their hotel in Adelaide by team bus at 8:30 AM to head to the airport for their 10:05 AM flight.

Yashasvi Jaiswal missed India’s Team Bus

All the players had arrived on time, including Jaiswal. However, Jaiswal suddenly realized he had forgotten some belongings at the hotel. He went back to retrieve them, leaving the team waiting in the bus for his return so they could depart for the airport.

Ten minutes passed, but there was still no sign of Jaiswal. A frustrated Rohit Sharma eventually stepped off the bus to discuss the situation with the team officials. Shortly after, the team bus left for the airport without Jaiswal. Later, Jaiswal came out of the hotel with his belongings, and the team management had arranged a car for him. He reached the airport on time and joined the team before the flight.

Such incidents are not new for the Indian team. Even Rohit Sharma himself has forgotten his belongings at the hotel in the past, causing delays for the team. In 2011, a similar incident occurred with Suresh Raina when he overslept and almost missed the team’s flight from Chennai to Dhaka.

India and Australia to play 3rd Test at The Gabba

Meanwhile, the Indian team has landed in Brisbane, where the third Test is set to begin on December 14. The series is currently level at 1-1, making the upcoming three Tests crucial for both India and Australia as they look to secure a spot in the World Test Championship final.

The third Test will be played at Brisbane’s iconic Gabba stadium, the same venue where the Indian team made history three years ago. In 2021, India became the first team to beat Australia at the Gabba since 1988. Between 1988 and 2021, Australia had played 29 Tests at the Gabba without any defeat.

The most recent Test match at the Gabba was played in January 2024 between Australia and the West Indies, where the West Indies created history by securing a remarkable victory. This was the West Indies’ first Test win on Australian soil in 30 years.
