Jadeja came in as a captain just a day before CSK was going to play their first game of this year’s IPL. The news came in as a shocker for the fans as they didn’t hope for the same and wanted MS Dhoni at the helm. Things went downhill for the franchise as Jadeja couldn’t handle the pressure and the team performed rather poorly. As a result, Jadeja was removed as the captain and Dhoni were reinstated. Considering how things have gone by, Ravindra Jadeja is upset and hurt with CSK.
It is noteworthy that Jadeja and CSK have both unfollowed each other on social media which points toward bitterness between the all-rounder and the team management. Jadeja has pulled out of the tournament and the team cited a rib injury as the reason for his exit. This has further divided the fans as to what’s really happening in the CSK camp. Even cricket analyst Sanjay Manjrekar said that Jadeja’s injury didn’t look so serious that he had to take an exit from the entire tournament, which was quoted by ESPN Cricinfo.
Whatever the reason, things have not been good in the camp and Ravindra Jadeja is upset because of all that has transpired. “Yes, he is upset & very hurt. The captaincy issue could have been handled better. Everything was too sudden, too abrupt. Any human being would get hurt by the way things shaped up,” a close source to Jadeja was quoted saying.
Ravindra Jadeja has provided his services to the franchise for a very long time and the fans would want him to continue the way he has contributed to the team’s cause. However, only time will tell what is really going to happen. The biggest question for the fans is whether Jadeja will be a part of CSK next year or not.
