However, the pressure Renuka Thakur put on didn’t last long. Danielle Wyatt and Nat Sciver built a strong partnership for the 3rd wicket. The other Indian bowlers struggled against them and faced the hammering. Wyatt and Sciver guided England to a strong total with their 138-run partnership. Wyatt concluded her innings with 75 runs off 47 balls, while Sciver was dismissed by Renuka Thakur in the 19th over, at the score of 77 runs in 53 balls. Despite Renuka’s brilliant bowling effort England managed to post a mammoth 197-run total on the board.

Following India’s defeat against Australia in the semi-final, she participated in the Women’s Premier League 2023 for Royal Challengers Bangalore but had a forgettable season. Despite playing in 6 matches, she could only secure 1 wicket, leading the management to bench her for 2 games.

The Shimla-born is also anticipated to make her Test debut in the only Test match against the England women’s starting December 14.
